Miami Open Masters 2018 Prize Money: Complete Purse and Earnings Info
The 2018 Indian Wells tournament has only just wrapped up, but the top players on the ATP and WTA tours are already gearing up for their next major engagement, the Miami Open Masters 1000 and Premier Mandatory in Key Biscayne, Florida.
Like Indian Wells, it's one of the most anticipated non-Majors of the year, drawing massive crowds and the best players in the world. Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic have dominated the men's field in recent years, while Johanna Konta was last year's shock winner in the women's tournament, where Serena Williams has won a remarkable eight titles.

Per the event's official website, this year's total purse will be $15,945,070, with $1,340,860 reserved for the men's and women's champions. A full breakdown of the earnings can be found here.
The opening round of the women's tournament will start with a bang, as record champion Williams will face rising star Naomi Osaka, who just grabbed her biggest career title at Indian Wells.
As shared by Ben Rothenberg of the New York Times, the draw served up yet another unpleasant surprise for the two:
Williams celebrated her return to the court at Indian Wells with wins over Zarina Diyas and Kiki Bertens before bowing out against her sister Venus Williams. The 36-year-old is slowly building her form and should be improved compared to just a week ago.
Her opponent powered her way through a loaded field of competitors that included huge names like Maria Sharapova, Agnieszka Radwanska, Simona Halep and Karolina Pliskova, announcing her arrival as a budding star.
Both stand out for their power from the base line, setting up an intriguing matchup on the slower courts of Florida. Osaka has momentum on her side but will have to deal with added pressure after her first big tournament win, while Williams is still battling rust but should be well rested.

In the men's draw, Indian Wells champion Juan Martin del Potro was also treated to an unpleasant surprise in the draw. While Roger Federer avoided most top seeds in his half of the bracket, Del Potro could have a nightmare path to the final.
He'll start against Robin Haase―both ranked in the ATP top 50―and could face Kei Nishikori and Novak Djokovic in the third round and round of 16, respectively.
Tennis TV highlighted the top names in the third quarter of the draw:
Djokovic did not take part in the tournament last year but has won the Miami Open Masters six times, including three in a row between 2014 and 2017.
