Goldberg's Most Defining WWE and WCW Moments in Hall of Fame Career
The return of Goldberg to WWE in 2016 was a surprise to many, as the former WCW world heavyweight champion stepped back into the squared circle after feuding with Brock Lesnar.
The former American football player went on to scoop the WWE Universal Championship, writing a new chapter in his storied career.
Goldberg is set to be the star inductee at the 2018 Hall of Fame on the Road to WrestleMania 34, as the company celebrates the contribution of one of the sport's greatest faces.
Here, we take a look at a few of Da Man's best moments in the ring.
Goldberg Delivers Amazing Jackhammer to The Giant
1 of 5Goldberg's rise through WCW in 1997 has become the stuff of legend, as the Oklahoma-born athlete remained undefeated on his way to becoming world heavyweight champion.
What made Goldberg special was his connection to the audience, and as with Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock, the fans loved his style.
One of the biggest pops of the fighter's early days came during his reign as champion in WCW, when he fought The Giant.
Later to become Big Show in WWE, the huge wrestler was a powerhouse in the company and was a significant threat to Goldberg's undefeated streak.
A tumultuous bout saw the action swing back and forth, but the champion eventually grabbed the upper hand with a huge spear.
Fans screamed for the Jackhammer as Goldberg put The Giant into position, and an impossible delayed vertical suplex was delivered by Da Man to send the crowd wild.
Goldberg Surprises The Rock on Raw Debut in 2003
2 of 5Goldberg's arrival in WWE was guaranteed to cause shockwaves, but the wrestler's first night on Monday Night Raw was scripted to perfection.
The Rock was in full celebration mode after beating Steve Austin at WrestleMania 19, and he was in the centre of the ring on the microphone when Goldberg's music began.
The WWE Universe was in awe as the former WCW kingpin walked through the accompanying pyrotechnics, and within minutes Goldberg had informed The Brahma Bull he was "next."
A quickfire spear saw The Rock floored, and Goldberg had arrived to stake his place with WWE.
Goldberg Pins Hulk Hogan to Claim WCW Crown
3 of 5There was a time when Hulk Hogan was invincible, and the biggest way to put across a future star was to see them prevail against The Hulkster.
Hogan's heel turn in WCW opened the door for a number of new directions for the company, and Goldberg had emerged as the most interesting face in many years.
The Georgia Dome played host as the pair battled for Hogan's World Heavyweight Championship, and the two legends held the huge crowd in their palms.
Goldberg had also defeated Scott Hall earlier in the night, and he went on to deliver a Jackhammer to Hogan after kicking out following two of The Hulkster's famous leg drops.
Goldberg Destroys Kevin Owens for Universal Championship
4 of 5Goldberg's return to WWE was a shock to fans who were convinced he would never step foot in the squared circle again.
However, Da Man's win over Lesnar in 2016 saw him immediately elevated into the title picture, with Kevin Owens' career in the middle of a huge push from the company.
Owens' reign as universal champion was to end in seconds at Fastlane 2017, though, with Chris Jericho causing the titleholder to take his eye off his opponent for a moment.
Goldberg landed a spear and a Jackhammer to ensure a successful comeback.
Goldberg Humbles Brock Lesnar at 2016 Survivor Series
5 of 5Goldberg's second return to WWE didn't produce a classic fight, but it remains a compelling piece of storytelling.
Lesnar remains the biggest draw in the company, and the buildup to Da Man's match with The Beast had been given a big billing.
However, few fans will forget the one minute, 26 seconds of destruction from Goldberg as he delivered two spears to crush Lesnar's ribs.
A massive Jackhammer made The Beast's advocate, Paul Heyman, scream in fear on the outside of the ring, and the three-count had the audience jumping out of their seats for the huge upset.
Goldberg had proved he was still a hero, and WWE had relit the legend of a wrestling great.
