Nascar: The Spin Is In Full Mode, The Chase Is Not Over, Yea Right!
If you still don’t believe this chase is over , please get to a clinic as soon as possible, you just had too much kool-aid.
Folks, this chase was over at “Hallo Loudon And Now Gentleman Start Your Engines”.
As much as we wanted to pretend our favorite drivers had chance to win the championship, the reality of racing is you need lots of money to go fast, only a hand full of teams have that kind of financial power.
The Hendrick group is like the Ferrari teams of the Michael Schumacher era, they had zillions of dollars and the best driver in the history F1 racing.
Jimmie Johnson is a great driver and will probably win seven championships or maybe more and could become one of the greatest driver in stock car racing.
The Hendrick group is probably the best funded team in NASCAR.
Racing history tells us the combination of big budgets and great drivers will make you real fast real quick, It’s just unbeatable.
How do you even the score?
Felix Sabates of Earnhardt-Ganassi Racing made a suggestion that makes sense, he suggests having a spending cap.
That would help, but teams like Hendrick and Childress would still be able to spend the maximum, while smaller team would still fall short on funding.
The rich would still get richer but probably in a less dominant manner.
To make a budget cap work for all the teams, the top end of the cap would have to be low enough so even you and I can show up at the track and have a chance to qualify.
That is not going to happen, so all we can do as fans is enjoy the ride and continuo being a fan until things change.
JJ is not going to be young forever.
Just enjoy his fourth championship, if is too hard for you to handle, I suggest a good bottle of Tequila before the race, that will fix everything.
I promise it will, it will knock you out for at least 8 hours.
Enough said.
