LeBron James Gets Key Block, Sinks Walk-Off Game-Winner vs. Timberwolves
Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James produced a highlight-reel defensive stop late in Wednesday's overtime thriller versus the Minnesota Timberwolves at Quicken Loans Arena.
Then, he called game.
With under four seconds remaining in the extra period and the score tied at 138, the three-time champion kept his eyes on Minnesota's Jimmy Butler. James delivered a key rejection that prevented Butler from notching a potential game-winner and, just as importantly, kept the ball in play.
Following a Cleveland timeout, Cavs forward Jeff Green tossed a perfect long ball for James, and the King sunk a turnaround jumper from behind the free-throw line as time expired for an emotional 140-138 win.
James and the reigning Eastern Conference champs will try to keep their energy high when they travel to face the Atlanta Hawks at Philips Arena on Friday night.
