Cavaliers Disable Instagram Comments for Isaiah Thomas' Happy Birthday Post

The Cleveland Cavaliers wouldn't allow negative remarks to ruin their happy birthday Instagram post for guard Isaiah Thomas.

After disparaging replies appeared under a Twitter post wishing the 29-year-old the best on his born day, the team's social media handlers apparently tried a different approach by turning off the comments on Instagram.      

The tweets poked fun at the turmoil brewing within the Cavs organization, with some directed at the reported players meeting involving Kevin Love, per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski:

The defending Eastern Conference champions have lost three of their last four games—two by 18 or more points. As Thursday's 3 p.m. ET trade deadline approaches, Cleveland may move some roster pieces for better results.      

A home win against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday at Quicken Loans Arena could add some positivity to Thomas' special day.
