Klay Thompson Becomes Second-Fastest Player to 1,500 Career 3-Pointers

Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson made history late in the first half of Tuesday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder at Oracle Arena.

With roughly 40 seconds to play in the second quarter, Thompson hit nothing but net for his 1,500th career three-pointer:

The two-time champion became the second-fastest player to reach that milestone, doing so in 517 games.

In March 2016, fellow Golden State guard Stephen Curry hit 1,500 triples in only his 477th contest.
