Super Bowl Odds 2018: Halftime, National Anthem and Eagles vs. Patriots Props
The Super Bowl is a national event that has surpassed its status as a championship football game.
It has been called a national holiday, and it attracts many non-sports and non-football fans in addition to hardcore fans who have been studying the individual matchups between the Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII, which is scheduled for Sunday at 6:30 p.m. ET.
Super Bowl parties are plentiful and seem to be even more popular than New Year's Eve parties. But parties are just the beginning, as Super Bowl bets and props make the game even more of a can't-miss event for Americans.

In addition to some of the bets associated with the competition itself, many of the props have to do with the national anthem and halftime performances. Powerful singer Pink is scheduled to perform the national anthem, while megastar Justin Timberlake is going to take the stage at halftime at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
Pink is known for her multi-colored hair. Super Bowl bettors can make a prop bet on what color her hair will be when she sings the anthem. Pink or red is offered at plus-150, meaning a $100 bet will return $150 in profit, according to OddsShark. White or blonde is offered at plus-175, brown or black is offered at plus-400, blue or purple is available as a plus-500 option, and so is green.
Other national anthem bets include whether Pink will forget or alter a word in "The Star-Spangled Banner." A yes bet is offered at plus-300, while a no bet (meaning she sings the song with the correct words) can be made at minus-500 (the bettor risks $500 to earn a $100 profit).
Pink is a Pennsylvania native, and there is a possibility that she shows some form of support for the Eagles. If she says Eagles or offers some verbal support, that bet can be made at plus-110, while saying nothing to support the team is offered at minus-150.
Wearing Eagles gear would also bring a solid return for bettors. If Pink wears an Eagles hat or shirt, that would offer a return of plus-200. Those who believe she won't wear any Eagles gear can make that bet at minus-500.
Timberlake's performance will also be associated with a number of prop betting options. While none of them involve his hair color like Pink, they do involve his shoe color.
Those who want to bet that Timberlake will come out in white shoes can do so at minus-125, while betting that he will wear black shoes is offered at plus-175. Other choices include brown/beige at plus-700, blue or green at plus-1000, red at plus-1600 or yellow at at plus-2000.
The other clothing prop bet involving Timberlake concerns his choice of a headwear. Betting that he will wear a hat, cap, chapeau or fedora offers a return of plus-350, while betting the no-hat option is offered at minus-600.
Another Timberlake betting option involves his song choices. Since the Super Bowl will be held in Minnesota, the home of the late artist Prince, he could perform one of the star's legendary songs as a tribute. The yes option requires the bettor to risk a minus-140 bet, while the no option is offered at even money.
In addition to the exotic props offered concerning the national anthem and halftime performances, football fans can make prop bets on several game options.
Betting that the Eagles will score first in the game is offered at plus-115, while taking the Patriots requires a minus-145 bet.
Those who believe that either Tom Brady of the Patriots or Nick Foles of the Eagles will exceed 400 passing yards is offered at plus-300, and no is offered at minus-500.
Another classic betting option involves the game's MVP award. Brady is the favorite at minus-125, followed by Foles at plus-325. Rob Gronkowski is at plus-850, followed by Danny Amendola, Jay Ajayi and Zach Ertz at plus-1800. Betting on Alshon Jeffery would return plus-2000 if he takes the MVP honor.
The first touchdown scorer is a popular prop bet, and Gronkowski is the favorite at plus-750. Brandin Cooks is at plus-900, followed by Amendola, Ertz and Dion Lewis at plus-1000.
