Kevin Durant and Draymond Green Petition Stephen Curry for All-Star Selection
NBA All-Star Game captains Stephen Curry and LeBron James selected their teams Thursday afternoon. Fans must wait until later in the evening to see the untelevised draft's results, but the Golden State Warriors superstar likely gave his teammates preferential treatment.
Before the draft, Curry posted the list of available players and a blank page to document his upcoming picks. Draymond Green and Kevin Durant both responded with playful threats.
"Today is the day I head into Bob's office," Green wrote in an apparent reference to Warriors general manager Bob Myers.
"Choose wisely Stephon," Durant replied. One would assume he intentionally misspelled Curry's first name.
Earlier this week, per Anthony Slater of The Athletic, Klay Thompson also joked about demanding a trade if not chosen by his backcourt mate.
The draft results will be revealed Thursday night at 7 p.m. ET on TNT. Curry will have a lot of explaining to do if his roster doesn't include Durant, Green and Thompson.
