LeBron James Becomes 7th NBA Player to Score 30K Career Points

Zac WassinkJan 23, 2018

Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James further cemented his status as an all-time great late in the first quarter of Tuesday's game against the San Antonio Spurs at AT&T Center.

With under three seconds remaining in the period, James pulled up from a few steps inside the three-point arc and drained a jumper to eclipse 30,000 career points.

The three-time champion became the seventh player to join the 30,000-point club and the youngest ever to reach that milestone. Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant did so at 34 years, 104 days. James bettered that mark by a year and 80 days.
