Twitter Reacts to LeBron James Congratulating Self Before Reaching 30,000 Points

LeBron James wrote a lengthy Instagram post congratulating himself for hitting the 30,000-point milestone Tuesday before the Cleveland Cavaliers' game against the San Antonio Spurs at the AT&T Center.

The NBA icon, who has scored 29,993 career points, was celebrating a feat he has yet to accomplish.

The strange post elicited a fury of reaction on social media.

Including the playoffs, James has not scored fewer than 10 points in a game since May 28, 2014. While he's likely to join an elite group of six 30,000-point scorers Tuesday, it might not have hurt to schedule the Instagram post for Wednesday.
