DeMarcus Cousins Avoids Being Posterized by Lauri Markkanen 1-Handed Dunk

New Orleans Pelicans center DeMarcus Cousins appeared to make a wise business decision during Monday's game against the Chicago Bulls at Smoothie King Center.

With under 4:20 remaining in the first quarter, Chicago big man Lauri Markkanen blew past Anthony Davis and dribbled toward the rim with momentum on his side.

Cousins spotted Markkanen, but he stopped just short of going for a block, conceding the dunk to his opponent.

We'll never know if Cousins could've prevented the score, but he did well to avoid the wrong end of a poster-worthy slam.
