Monday Recap
Federer was one of the earlier matches on court on Monday, and he thrilled those with tickets for the early sessions as only he is capable of.

The Swiss was made to work hard at times by Fucsovics, and for long spells the first set was even. But in the end, the class of the champion shone through; the second set was a similar story, as Federer took the tiebreak at the end of 12 tight games.
Throughout the match, the Hungarian found it tough to make any dent in Federer's serve, and when the champion broke early in the third set, the Swiss' lead felt insurmountable.
The tournament's Twitter account provided the numbers behind the veteran's display:
Meanwhile, Christopher Clarey of the New York Times put forward some figures to show just how much of the 36-year-old's game is dependent on his work on the baseline:
You sense the next round will bring an even tougher challenge for Federer, as Berdych has been making understatedly impressive progress so far.
One man who won't be challenging Federer for glory here this year is Djokovic, as he was upset by the brilliant Chung.
The Serb, a six-time champion in this event, was struggling with his elbow for much of the match, yet Chung deserves immense credit for the manner in which he dealt with this huge occasion.
Afterwards, the South Korean admitted Djokovic is his idol, per the competition Twitter account:
The performance of Halep was always going to attract focus on Monday after her mammoth match with Lauren Davis on Saturday. However, the top seed was dominant against Osaka.

Per the WTA Insider Twitter account, Halep's match in Round 4 was much more straightforward:
Kerber is also among the favourites for the title, after she overcame a scare to get past Hsieh Su-wei. The German took her time to grow into the tie and, after getting back on level terms, took over in the final set.
Elsewhere, Keys continued her perfect form, as she earned another straight-sets win, this time dumping out eighth seed Caroline Garcia.
The match of the day arguably came between Tennys Sandgren and Dominic Thiem, with the former eventually emerging victorious in an absorbing five-set encounter.
Prior to the 2018 Australian Open, Sandgren had never won a singles match at a Grand Slam event. In Thiem and Stansislas Wawrinka, he now has two massive scalps, and after disposing of such illustrious opposition, he will now surely fancy his chances of going all the way Down Under.
