David Blatt Roasts Cavs About 24-Point Loss Before Turkish All-Star Game
Zac WassinkJan 21, 2018
The Cleveland Cavaliers suffered a 148-124 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder at Quicken Loans Arena on Saturday.
A former head coach noticed that result from the other side of the globe.
David Blatt, who guided the Cavs from June 2014 through January 2016 before he was unceremoniously dismissed, referenced his former employer ahead of Sunday's Turkish All-Star Game.
"I hope we don't give up as many points as the Cavaliers gave up last night," he said.
Blatt guided the Cavs to the 2015 NBA Finals, and Cleveland held a 30-11 record when he was fired.
Blatt is now in charge of Darussafaka Spor Kulubu, but it's clear he keeps track of the Cavs while overseas.
Update: Blatt failed to achieve his goal.
