Warriors' Instagram Page Likes Timberwolves' Post Noting Win vs. Cavaliers
The Minnesota Timberwolves stunned the Cleveland Cavaliers in a 127-99 trouncing Monday night. After the upset, they received encouragement from the team they wish to dethrone.
As any franchise's social media department would do after dominating the defending Eastern Conference champions, the Timberwolves commemorated the triumph on Instagram. The post netted a like from the Golden State Warriors, who have met Cleveland in each of the last three NBA Finals.
While all five Minnesota starters notched a plus-minus over 30, Cleveland's starters combined to score 28 points. Limited to 27 minutes, LeBron James mustered a season-low 10.
Golden State, however, may not want to get too excited about Minnesota's emergence. Winners of seven of their last 10 games, the Wolves have risen to the Western Conference's No. 4 spot. That could set up a second-round playoff matchup against the top-seeded Warriors.
