Tom Brady, Todd Gurley Headline 2017 AP All-Pro 1st Team

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley were among the most notable selections for the 2017 Associated Press NFL All-Pro First Team, which was released Friday.

NFL Network's James Palmer tweeted a full rundown of the team:

Brady and Gurley are potentially the top two candidates for NFL MVP, as Brady led New England to a 13-3 record and the No. 1 seed in the AFC, while Gurley led the NFL in yards from scrimmage (2,093) and touchdowns from scrimmage (19).

Brady is a first-team All-Pro for the third time in his career, while Gurley earned his first selection.

Gurley's Rams are well-represented on the team with an NFL-high six selections. Also included are offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth, defensive tackle Aaron Donald, kicker Greg Zuerlein, punter Johnny Hekker and kick returner Pharoh Cooper.

Brady is joined by teammate and Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, who was named a First Team All-Pro for the fifth time.

Meanwhile, the rival Pittsburgh Steelers led all AFC teams with four selections in flex offensive player Le'Veon Bell, wide receiver Antonio Brown, guard David DeCastro and defensive lineman Cam Heyward.

Making his fourth All-Pro First Team, Brown was the only unanimous selection appearing on all 50 ballots, per the AP (h/t ESPN.com).

Among the notable first-time selections were Houston Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Calais Campbell and cornerback Jalen Ramsey, and Arizona Cardinals linebacker Chandler Jones, who led the league with 17.0 sacks.

A pair of rookies were named to the team as well in the form of Detroit Lions punt returner Jamal Agnew and Cardinals special teamer Budda Baker.
