Alexa Bliss, Braun Strowman to Team for WWE Mixed Match Challenge
The early favorites to win WWE's inaugural Mixed Match Challenge may have been revealed Wednesday, when WWE announced Alexa Bliss and Braun Strowman will team up for the event, which begins on Jan. 16.
The tag team will create quite a physical contrast. WWE.com lists Bliss at 5'1", while Strowman stands at 6'8".
The company could have gone the opposite route with Strowman and paired him with the equally imposing Nia Jax (6'0") or similarly dominant Asuka, who has yet to lose in WWE. Bleacher Report's Ryan Dilbert argued The Miz would have been the perfect partner for Bliss, since they basically have the same personality.

Jax was disappointed with Wednesday's announcement:
Strowman and Bliss will make a strong tag team, though, and the interplay between them after Raw general manager Kurt Angle's announcement showed why:
Watching Strowman and Bliss interacting with one another in the ring should be equally as entertaining as the matches themselves.
There's also the fact they are among the best in their respective divisions. Bliss is the Raw women's champion, while Strowman is the most dominant wrestler in WWE outside of Brock Lesnar.
Although Bliss and Strowman are only the first of what will be 12 teams to be revealed for the Mixed Match Challenge, it's hard to see what pair will have a better shot of taking home the tournament title.
