Twitter Reacts to Yankees' Acquisition of Giancarlo Stanton from Marlins
The Evil Empire returned Saturday morning, when the New York Yankees reportedly agreed to acquire 2017 National League MVP Giancarlo Stanton from the Miami Marlins.
Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports first reported the blockbuster. According to the New York Post's Joel Sherman, the Yankees will send second baseman Starlin Castro and non-elite prospects to the Marlins for the superstar right fielder.
The Bronx Bombers belted an MLB-best 241 home runs in 2017. Just for fun, they added someone who led the majors with 59 long balls.
