Telvin Smith Says Marcell Dareus Will Give Jaguars a 'Crazy Good Rotation'

The Jacksonville Jaguars upgraded an already stout defense by acquiring Marcell Dareus from the Buffalo Bills. Linebacker Telvin Smith is excited to welcome the defensive tackle.

Smith, who signed a four-year, $50 million extension last week, spoke to the media about his new teammate.

"It's going to be a crazy rotation," Smith said, per the team's Twitter account. "I'm looking forward to adding another head to that monster."

Jacksonville entered its Week 8 bye 4-3 with an AFC-best point differential of plus-73. It leads the NFL in passing yards (161.7) and points (15.7) allowed per game.

Yet the Jaguars have also relinquished an NFL-worst 5.2 yards per carry and 138.6 rushing yards per contest. The two-time Pro Bowl tackle fortifies their Achilles' heel as they seek their first playoff appearance (and winning season) since 2007.
