Lakers Unveil Classic Minneapolis Uniforms They Will Wear 5 Times This Season

The Los Angeles Lakers will harken back to their Minneapolis days with throwback uniforms.

According to NBA.com, they will wear the classic jerseys five times this season, starting on Wednesday against the Washington Wizards. The baby-blue alternates will say "MPLS" in honor of the Minneapolis Lakers, who won five BAA/NBA championships in six years.

Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal's Lakers wore similar throwbacks fifteen years ago against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The color scheme won't look too different to UCLA alum Lonzo Ball.
