Bears Coach John Fox Says QB Mitchell Trubisky Has 'Got What It Takes'
Though the Chicago Bears lost to the Minnesota Vikings in Mitchell Trubisky's NFL debut Monday night, head coach John Fox nevertheless liked what he saw from the rookie quarterback.
"He's got what it takes," Fox said following Chicago's 20-17 loss to the Vikings, per the team's Twitter account. "There's no doubt in my mind."
Trubisky, whom the Bears selected second overall after trading up one spot, went 12-of-25 for 128 yards against Minnesota. He tied the game early in the fourth quarter with a 20-yard touchdown pass to tight end Zach Miller, but he threw a costly interception with two-and-a-half minutes remaining.
