"I'll tell you right now, the game plan for B.J. Penn is to kick his ass and that's it. I've never been more hungry, and I'm at my true weight at 155. I feel it's my time. This fight couldn't be a better match-up for me. Everybody knows my strength is my conditioning and his biggest weakness has always been his conditioning. That makes a bad match-up for B.J. right off the bat. I know he's concerned because I feel I'm B.J.'s kryptonite. I'm happy he's coming into the fight as the best B.J., and I really do feel he will be the best B.J. There is no game plan. I'm the king of the cage and when he steps in there, he steps into my cage. B.J. ain't going to have no excuse of greasing because I'm not a greaser. I'm a natural sweaty guy, man. There's gonna be some sweat, it's gonna be slippery. I'm going to be dropping some ground-and-pound." - Diego Sanchez
Diego Sanchez talks about his upcoming title fight against current champion B.J. Penn at UFC 107 in Memphis, TN. The 27-year-old claimed that he has waited 15 fights for a chance at the title and is ready for anything Penn throws at him.
Sanchez is currently a jiu-jitsu brown belt and admits that his passion is his ever-evolving ground game. The 21-2 lightweight has never been submitted in competition and is currently undefeated in the 155-pound division. His only losses come from welterweights (170 lbs.) Jon Fitch and Josh Koscheck, in which Sanchez lost both fights by decision.
