Giants Overachieved Despite Sabean
The San Francisco Giants had a better shot than most teams to find its way into the postseason, and now that the season is over, and the reality is the Giants ended up a few games short, the reasons on why the club did not make the postseason are starting to become public. The Giants Fired Carney Lansford, the SF Giants hitting coach, and the word fired explains it all. He was accountable in the education of the Giants in regard to hitting, and the reality is the Giants were not known as a club that could hit. Baseball is a game of numbers, and without going into the horror of the stats for the season, the Giants simply did not hit as well as the majority of baseball clubs.
The Giants can not hit is not new news, and all fans alike new this was the issue when the club was taking in the Sun in Scottsdale in March. The job to get this done was Brian Sabean, not Carney lansford trying to make hitters out of rookies and career 260 veterans. Please Brian Sabean call a spade a spade here. You, Mr. Sabean were responsible in finding someone that could hit the fricking ball. I know, you were a stud and brought in Ryan Garko, a man that could not catch a cold, the swine flu or a baseball, and mind you this was your decision. I may be jumping ahead, you did bring in a prized free agent, Mr. Edgar Rentaria. Edgar was hurt all year, I know, and Edgar had a decent year, and this is not his fault. The fault is yours Mr. Sabean. The Giants have had few prospects over the years, and the only prospects regarding the club this year were middle infielders.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
Why in the Giants Nation do you bring in a veteran to compete at a positon in which you had and have some talent?
Mr. Sabean you still had a chance to be a Giant and bring in a bat, a bat known to be a true SF Giant by his production and not his promises. Mr. Barry Bonds, the HOMERUN KING, and one could see providing some production.
I know, I know the excuses, the fact you all parted ways, the steroid issue, and all the garbage. The point is you play the game to win, Barry is a Bat, Barry is a GIANT, and I see your competitor thriving with a steroid freak. Yes, the LA Dodgers playing in the POSTSEASON with Manny. I do not even need to mention his last name, as the world will see him battle for a World Series birth.
In the meantime, Mr. Sabean is letting a Bay Area legend go. You fire Carney Lansford just to show management you are actually worth the check they pay you each month. If you cared about winning, cared about the Giants, and wanted to win, you would Do your JOB.
The same old song and dance will be in Scottsdale in March. I will be sitting in the sun, drinking a cold beer, and watching Timmy toss a three hitter and take the loss due to the fact the offense could not get a hit off a spot starter from the California League.
