Chris Jericho's Top Potential Feuds for WWE SummerSlam 2017 Following Return
On Tuesday's episode of SmackDown Live, Chris Jericho made his triumphant return to WWE programming for the first time since being sent away on a stretcher by Kevin Owens in May.
Jericho was thrown into a Triple Threat match for the United States Championship later in the night against Owens and AJ Styles, and it was Y2J who took the pin in the main event when Styles won back his title.
Now fans are wondering what Jericho will do at the 2017 edition of SummerSlam. Here are the best booking options for the veteran Superstar following his return to SmackDown Live.

Triple Threat at SummerSlam
1 of 3The three-way main event on Tuesday's episode of SmackDown was incredible, and WWE officials would be smart to continue the feud featuring all three men into the second biggest show of the year.
SummerSlam needs several marquee matches to make it a spectacle, and adding three bonafide stars in one match is a perfect booking decision. Owens, Styles and Jericho fighting again could easily be the match that steals the show.
An argument could be made that Jericho shouldn't get another chance after taking the pinfall on SmackDown, but Shane McMahon could easily put him into a qualifying match and allow him to earn his way back into the U.S. title scene.
Jericho vs. AJ Styles
2 of 3As great as another Triple Threat match would be, Owens has been heavily teasing tension with Shane McMahon, and a possible battle between the former U.S. champion and the SmackDown general manager would be a huge addition to the SummerSlam card.
If Owens faces McMahon in August, Styles will need a new challenger for SummerSlam, and the story between the champion and Jericho is already built in. The angle wouldn't need a lot of storytelling, and it could be billed as a friendly competition between former tag team partners.
Watching Owens, Jericho and Styles square off in a championship match again is a main event worthy bout, but spreading the love to two matches, namely McMahon vs. Owens and Styles vs. Jericho, would provide the depth and star power SummerSlam needs.
A WrestleMania rematch between Styles and Jericho would be ideal.
Mike and Maria Kanellis Attack Y2J
3 of 3The surprise return of Jericho created a genuine buzz among the WWE Universe, but his loss in the U.S. title match could mean he won't be involved in the championship scene at SummerSlam.
Jericho should undoubtedly have a match, though, and the best non-title option would be a one-on-one bout against Mike Kanellis. Since making their debut, wrestling fans have been excited about Mike and Maria Kanellis, but the booking of the duo has been suspect.
One way to ensure someone gets over big with the crowd is to lock them in a feud against a legend like Jericho. As someone that doesn't need to win at a marquee pay-per-view, Mike Kanellis could earn a much-needed pinfall victory at SummerSlam.
Add in the fact that Jericho could verbally destroy the relationship between Mike and Maria during the build to the show, and this would be an ideal undercard addition to what should be a stacked event.
