Styles defeated not only Kevin Owens but also Chris Jericho, who made a surprise appearance in the Triple Threat match.

Owens had beaten Styles for the title at Sunday's WWE Battleground, which was already a rematch of their bout at WWE Backlash.

These competitors didn't need pay-per-view to compete in the latest battle, however, with Styles coming away on top.

However, the big story from the day was the return of Jericho, which was a pleasant surprise for many, including Scott Fishman of the Miami Herald:

While Styles' win will be a major storyline going forward, fans will want to see what happens to Jericho after the recent defeat.
