Jericho hasn't wrestled since losing the United States Championship to Owens on the May 2 edition of SmackDown Live.
SmackDown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon announced he'd have an opportunity to win the belt back in a Triple Threat match against Owens and Styles later in the night, according to WWE's official Twitter account.

Jericho's return raises two major questions.
The first is how long he plans to remain with WWE. Fozzy doesn't start touring again until September, so it looks like he should have some free time on his hands.
The second topic of discussion is whether the six-time world champion will once again reinvent himself. The "List of Jericho" version of Y2J was one of the most consistently entertaining parts of Raw and SmackDown, and the "Festival of Friendship" is among the strongest segments of 2017.
At the same time, hitting a creative peak hasn't stopped Jericho from eventually changing direction in the past, and as a result, he remains relatively fresh despite being 46 years old and having wrestled for over two decades.
Whether he's ultimately successful in his pursuit of the U.S. title on Tuesday night, Jericho's unfinished business with Owens is unlikely to reach a conclusion anytime soon.
Once he's finished feuding with Owens, though, it will be interesting to see if Jericho finds another way to bring the WWE Universe a completely new aspect of his persona.
