Nolan Arenado Blasts 3 Home Runs vs. San Diego Padres

Back in mid-June, Colorado Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado completed his first career cycle with a walk-off home run versus the San Francisco Giants

On Wednesday afternoon, Arenado made the San Diego Padres pay for pitching to him several times at Coors Field. 

The 26-year-old already had a pair of RBI hits when he blasted a leadoff solo home run in the bottom of the fourth off San Diego starter Clayton Richard:

Arenado was far from finished, though, something Padres reliever Kevin Quackenbush discovered the hard way the following inning: 

It appears Quackenbush learned little from that battle, as he elected to again challenge Arenado in the bottom of the sixth: 

Arenado began the bottom of the seventh inning with five hits in five plate appearances, three home runs and seven RBI.

He made franchise history and also added his name to the MLB record books:
