Thunder's Enes Kanter Calls Russell Westbrook 'The Real MVP'

Monday night's inaugural NBA Awards show culminated with Russell Westbrook taking home the 2016-17 MVP trophy. Enes Kanter, who campaigned for his Oklahoma City Thunder teammate throughout the season, celebrated by quoting a former Thunder MVP recipient.

The center tweeted a photo of himself and Westbrook posing with the prize. His "You Are The Real MVP" caption is taken from Kevin Durant's emotional 2014 acceptance speech, during which he credited his mother for his MVP status.

Durant, of course, is also still a real MVP. In addition to his 2013-14 accolade, he earned NBA Finals MVP honors after guiding the Golden State Warriors to a title.
