Tiger Woods Won't Attend 2017 Quicken Loans National

Tiger Woods will miss the 2017 Quicken Loans National competition as he continues to battle back to full health.

According to Ryan Lavner of the Golf Channel, Woods is still receiving treatment and adjusting his pain management.

The superstar usually hosts the tournament, which is played in Washington D.C., with benefits going towards his foundation.

The CEO of Woods’ foundation, Rick Singer, made a statement about the player's absence, per Lavner.

Singer said: "Tiger will stay in touch with the tournament and receive regular updates during the week."

According to Lavner, Woods has previously suffered from back pain and has needed further therapy to resume his playing career.
