Multiple British journalists have moved to deny rumours linking Manchester City with Borussia Dortmund star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

His colleague, Stuart Brennan, and BBC Sport's Simon Stone have also denied the speculation.

The Citizens already boast an impressive attack and added Bernardo Silva to the mix after the 2016-17 campaign concluded. With Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero likely to split attacking duties next year, the Sky Blues hardly need another star forward.

Aubameyang has been Dortmund's top option since Robert Lewandowski left for Bayern Munich in 2014, but the 28-year-old could move this summer as BVB continue their youth movement.

City have enough financial muscle to add the speedster and still address their other needs, but a transfer to a different club seems more likely. Per Goal's Loic Tanzi, he's been heavily linked with Paris Saint-Germain.
