First, the five-year-old heart patient found out he'd finally return home from the hospital after 187 days and several heart surgeries.
Schultz's heartwarming reaction to the good news went viral, garnering the attention of former Boston College baseball player Pete Frates, who suffers from ALS and was the inspiration for the Ice Bucket Challenge.
