Minnesota Twins Host Prince Night at Target Field

The Minnesota Twins honored hometown hero and international icon Prince by turning Target Field purple on Friday night. 

Players and staff wore purple warm-up tees with Prince's famous emblem on them, while the superstar's music played before the game and between innings. 

Fans were treated to a special gift from the Twins to help shield them from the rain, purple or otherwise. 

The first 10,000 fans to hit the stadium were given umbrellas, purple with Prince's famed symbol and the Twins' team logo on the outside, and emblazoned with the iconic Purple Rain album cover on the inside.
