The Revival's Dash Wilder Reportedly Cleared to Return to Ring After Jaw Injury

Joseph ZuckerJun 12, 2017

WWE doctors reportedly cleared Dash Wilder to return to the ring Monday, according to Pro Wrestling Sheet's James McKenna

Wilder underwent surgery in April to repair a fractured jaw he suffered at an NXT house show. He last wrestled with Scott Dawson in a losing effort to Shinsuke Nakamura and Hideo Itami on April 14.

Given the state of Raw's tag team division, Wilder can't come back soon enough.

New WWE Rumors 🤫

It's doubtful The Revival will immediately join the tag title scene when Wilder returns to the ring. On the May 29 edition of Raw, WWE addressed the possibility Dawson and Wilder had attacked Enzo backstage a week earlier:

The Revival could tentatively be penciled in for a match against Enzo and Big Cass for Great Balls of Fire on July 9 before challenging Sheamus and Cesaro for the Raw Tag Team Championship.

The Hardy Boyz's surprise return at WrestleMania added a shot in the arm to Raw's tag division, but the nostalgia wears off with each week they wrestle. The same thing happened to the Dudley Boyz when they showed back up in August 2015.

Matt and Jeff Hardy are still major stars, but they can't feud with Sheamus and Cesaro forever. The Revival would be great rivals for the current champions after they've officially moved on from the Hardys.
