Cavaliers Set NBA Finals Record for Most Made 3-Point Shots in Game 4
The Cleveland Cavaliers set a single-game NBA Finals record Friday night when they made their 19th three-pointer of the night in the third quarter of Game 4.
The achievement came after the Cavaliers set Finals records for points (86) and threes in a half (13) following a historic first 24 minutes.
And as if shattering the record with 19 wasn't reason enough to celebrate, LeBron James brought the home crowd to its feet when he drilled a step-back triple as time ticked down at the end of the third quarter to make it an even 20:
The Cavaliers proceeded to finish with 24 conversions from beyond the arc.
Like the record for threes made in a half, the Cavaliers shattered a mark that had been set by the Warriors earlier in the series. In Game 2, the Warriors drilled 18 threes to temporarily grab hold of the illustrious mark.
The Cavaliers will now hope to channel that effort in Game 5 as they attempt to trim the Warriors' lead further and send the series back to Cleveland for Game 6.
