Christian Pulisic Says USMNT Want 'Revenge' vs. Mexico in Sunday's Qualifier
Christian Pulisic may only be 18 years old, but he appeared confident beyond his years Thursday evening when he told Fox Sports the United States men's national team will get revenge against Mexico in World Cup qualifying action Sunday.
"It's gonna be a tough one down there in Mexico, especially," Pulisic said, per Sports Illustrated's Planet Futbol on Twitter. "But we really want some revenge on them for when they got us earlier this year. So we're really confident going into that game, and we're going to come out with a win there too."
Based on the way Pulisic performed Thursday night in the United States' 2-0 qualifying win over Trinidad and Tobago, it shouldn't come as a surprise that he was bursting with positivity.

The Red, White and Blue's ascendant star scored two goals in the triumph, both of which were captured by Fox Soccer on Twitter:
With a win in hand, the United States (2-1-2) is now third in the CONCACAF standings with seven points.
The only teams with superior marks are Costa Rica (2-2-1, eight points) and Mexico (4-1-0, 13 points).
Looking ahead to Sunday, Pulisic and the Americans will try to hand El Tri its first loss of the Hexagonal qualifying campaign.
Last time out on Nov. 11, Mexico evaded a draw when Rafael Marquez scored a last-gasp goal in the 89th minute to hand his side a 2-1 victory.
With a shot at revenge Sunday in Mexico City, Pulisic may have to replicate Thursday's performance in order for the U.S. to pull off the upset.
