Cristiano Ronaldo Says 'Nothing Is Impossible' When Asked About Real Madrid Exit

Rory MarsdenJun 8, 2017

Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has left the door open for a potential departure from the Santiago Bernabeu.Ā

When pushed by a Deportes Cuatro reporter about whether it is possible he could leave Los Blancos amid rumours Real could receive a £156 million bid for him, the 32-year-old forward said (via the Mirror's Alex Richards and Mick Gadd): "Nothing is impossible."

A recent report by Portuguese outletĀ A BolaĀ indicated Paris Saint-Germain, former sideĀ Manchester United and various Chinese clubs are interested in RonaldoĀ (via Richards andĀ Gadd).

Despite being in his 30s and potentially nearing the end of his career, it would not be hugely surprising were a major club to make a world-record bid for him, as Ronaldo continues to perform at a barely plausible level.

He was instrumental as Real won a Liga and UEFA Champions League double in 2016-17, netting back-to-back hat-tricks in the quarter-finals and semi-finals and a double in the final of Europe's premier club tournament.

However, it would be a surprise if Ronaldo did decide to leave Madrid, particularly this summer.

He only signed a new deal with Los Blancos to 2021 in November and is part of arguably the best club side on the planet.

Given Ronaldo's immense profile and consistently staggering performances, he has always been subject to general speculation about his future.

However, despite his claim that "nothing is impossible," it seems unlikely he would opt to leave the Bernabeu this summer after all their recent success.
