A woman from Alex Rodriguez's past is reportedly attempting to extort him for $600,000, according to TMZ.

Rodriguez broke up with the woman in 2014 after a non-serious relationship, but she is now reportedly threatening to show private messages to multiple media outlets unless the former New York Yankees star coughs up the money.

The 41-year-old is currently in a relationship with Jennifer Lopez.

According to the report, the ex-girlfriend has allegedly attempted to extort money from Rodriguez in the past but received nothing. The price reportedly only went up recently with his new high-profile romance.

Rodriguez retired from baseball last season after 22 years in the majors. He currently works full time as an analyst for Fox Sports.
