French Open 2017 Results: Tuesday Winners, Scores, Stats and Singles Draw Update
Timea Bacsinszky and Jelena Ostapenko qualified for the semi-finals of the 2017 French Open on Tuesday, as poor weather once again ruined the organisation's plans for the day.
Only two matches were finished, while the scheduled men's quarter-finals didn't even start and were instead moved to Wednesday.
Bacsinszky needed just two sets to get past local favourite Kristina Mladenovic, winning 6-4, 6-4. Ostapenko had a little more trouble with Carolina Wozniacki, winning 4-6, 6-2, 6-2. For the full draw, stats and results, visit Roland Garros' official website.

Mladenovic endured a rollercoaster tournament filled with ups and downs, and she was very emotional on the court on Tuesday, nearly bursting into tears just before the second rain delay.
Unlike in her win over Garbine Muguruza, the home fans couldn't support her past another opponent. Bacsinszky played some of the best tennis we've seen of her this season, grabbing some much-needed momentum ahead of the semi-finals.
While it's great to see the Swiss star do well after such a difficult start to the season, Ben Rothenberg of the New York Times admitted he'll miss Mladenovic:
In Tuesday's other quarter-final, Ostapenko continued her rise with a three-set win over Wozniacki. Tennis writer Victoria Chiesa loved what she saw from the teenager:
The 19-year-old bounced back from some sloppy play in the first set and dealt with the rain delays far better than her more experienced opponent. The Latvian starlet clearly doesn't suit Wozniacki, who has already lost three matches against Ostapenko this season.
A spot in the semi-final is easily her best career result in a Grand Slam, and given her strong form and the lack of a favourite for the title, Ostapenko could complete her Cinderella run at Roland Garros in a few days.
