Courtney Force's Car Explodes While Winning NHRA New England Nationals Qualifier

Courtney Force's car exploded during Friday's NHRA New England Nationals funny car qualifying round. Despite the fiery eruption, she walked away relatively unharmed.

She also won and recorded the top speed of 331.53 mph.

Though Force suffered a minor injury to her left hand, according to Fox Sports' Chase Wilhelm, the Advance Auto Parts driver safely escaped the vehicle. Following the scary scene, she joked about her Chevy Camaro combusting on Twitter:

Force locked down a spot in Sunday's fifth annual New England Nationals final. Her sister, Brittany Force, won the second qualifying session.
