Jean Segura Placed on 10-Day DL by Mariners with Ankle Injury
Seattle Mariners shortstop Jean Segura has been placed on the 10-day disabled list due to an ankle injury.
The Mariners announced Segura was placed on the DL with a high right ankle sprain. Dave Mahler of Sportsradio 950 reported Mariners general manager Jerry Dipoto said the shortstop could miss up to two months.
Segura was injured during Thursday's game against the Colorado Rockies after a hard slide into second base.

“We’re hopeful that it’s not a broken bone or anything, but we don’t know,” Mariners manager Scott Servais said after the game, per Adam Jude of the Seattle Times.
The Mariners acquired Segura in the offseason from the Arizona Diamondbacks. He's been one of the few bright spots for a Seattle team that entered Friday tied for last place in the American League West with a 25-30 record.
The 27-year-old is hitting .341/.391/.462 with four home runs and seven stolen bases in 43 games.
