Dez Bryant Shrugs Off Josh Norman Saying He's 'Just a Guy'

Dallas Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant said recent comments made by Washington cornerback Josh Norman did not make him more motivated to face him next season.

"No, no, no, no. Why would I respond to that? He'll see me when he sees me. When I line up against him, we're going to go at it. That's what it is," Bryant told reporters at Cowboys OTAs on Wednesday.

"I don't have no words to say to him. ... There's no extra motivation. All I care about is me. All I care about is that first game, that second game, that third game, that fourth game, all the way up to the last game, all the way up to the playoffs."

Norman, who jawed with Bryant last season and is a longtime rival of New York Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr., told Bleacher Report's Tyler Dunne that the Cowboys star is "just a guy" in an article published last week.

"That's a guy. Just a guy. Dez was Dez in 2012, '13, '14. Maybe '14. Now? He's a guy," Norman said.

Bryant made 12 receptions for 174 yards in two games against Washington last season. Bryant told reporters that Washington "needs to get their money back from Josh Norman" after the teams' Thanksgiving matchup, and the corner wound up telling reporters Bryant made reference to "unload[ing] the clip" during one of their jawing matches.

Norman later retracted his statement.

“I didn’t make it personal,” Bryant said, per Todd Archer of ESPN.com. “He made it personal. I was just going to come out and do my job, and that’s exactly what I did. He wanted to bump. I let him bump. He got me bumping a little bit, and he made me attack him even more.

"You know, I honestly feel like the guy is extremely soft. I think he’s just a bunch of talk. If he was out and about, I wouldn’t dare on my life let him talk to me like that. Those words would never came out his mouth. Promise. Promise it wouldn’t. But on another, we got after that ass. Hell of a win. You know, it feels good."

Suffice it to say Norman has made far more enemies than friends within the division going into next season.
