Antoine Griezmann Says He's Happy at Atletico Madrid Amid Transfer Rumours

Antoine Griezmann has cooled talk linking him with a move away from La Liga this summer by saying he's happy at Atletico Madrid.

The prolific wide forward was speaking while on international duty with France, per AS-English, and made it clear the idea of him moving is far from certain.

"I am good at the club," he said. "My agents are talking with Atletico and we will see what happens. My future will be decided this summer. If I do leave this summer, the date will depend on the qualifying phase of the World Cup."

Griezmann has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United in recent months. However, the French international revealed he is content after talks with senior figures at Atleti, per AS: "I am happy here. I have spoken with the manager, with Koke and Godin. It is in the hands of the president of the club. We will see how it goes."

While Griezmann says he's happy in the Spanish capital, the phrase "see how it goes" seems to leave the door ajar for a potential move away. The speculation linking him with United isn't going away, despite Atleti standing firm over the Red Devils having to pay the former Real Sociedad man's €100 million release clause, per James Ducker of the Daily Telegraph.
