Steven Souza Jr. Dives for a Fly Ball vs. Minnesota Twins, Comes Up 20-Ft Short

Well, at least he gave it a shot. 

Steven Souza Jr. dove a bit early for a line drive as the Rays faced off against the Twins on Friday. 

During the seventh inning, Twins batter Kennys Vargas hit a sinking line drive to right center field. With the Rays nursing a shutout, Souza dove for the ball to attempt to keep the Twins scoreless. 

Unfortunately, it was a bit of an overzealous dive for Souza, who was about 20 feet away from the ball. Thankfully, he was able to have a laugh about it with his teammates as the Rays beat the Twins 5-2.
