Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Cannot understand what Riveron was looking at when he said that after the review, his knee hit the ground before the ball crossed the plane.
Last time I checked, unlike college, in the NFL that only matters if the player is "down by contact". In this case, he was not touched until after he was in the endzone.
Another blown call by Riveron. But, Jones got the Jets in the endzone on the very next play.
Before the trade Edwards had 10 catches, for 139 yards, and no scores. With his best game so far against the Denver Broncos where he had 6 catches for 92 yards, no scores.
Fantasy owners were wondering if and when Braylon would get back to his 2007 form. And some said it was the lack of a dominant passing game/passer in Cleveland.
One analyst said he would have an immediate impact, because with the New York Jets, he does not have to be THE guy. With Mark "Sanchize" Sanchez, Bart Scott and Rex Ryan being the main focus, not to mention the 2 1/2 headed monster in the backfield, Braylon can make an impact on the field, without being the only person in New York in the spotlight.
That touchdown grab gave the Jets the lead, 20-17, with as of time of press, 11:00 to go in the 4th quarter.
Stay tuned for more news updates, as it happens.
UPDATE: Braylon Edwards finished with 5 catches, 64 yards 1 touchdown. But the Jets lost, 31-27.
still, in his very first game as a member of the Jets, he made an impact. Which is more than we can say for the last year and change in Cleveland.
