Jaguars' Malik Jackson Pays Adoption Fees for 181 Pets

Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle Malik Jackson may be a menace to opposing offensive lines, but it turns out he is quite the animal lover. 

According to the Jacksonville Humane Society and as explained by ESPN.com's Michael DiRocco, Malik's Gifts, a charitable foundation run by the 27-year-old, paid the full adoption fees for 181 pets over the weekend of May 6 and 7. It's estimated that Jackson spent $13,000. 

Jackson also paid a visit to the JHS, where he posed for pictures and spoke about fostering and adopting available pets. 

Local shelters were full at the time, per the JHS release, meaning Jackson and his organization were true heroes for the animals, who are now beloved members of families.
