After 67 years of dedicated service behind the microphone, legendary announcer Vin Scully retired following the conclusion of the 2016 MLB season.
On Wednesday evening, the Los Angeles Dodgers honored Scully once again.
The club inducted Scully into its Ring of Honor before facing the division rival San Francisco Giants at Dodger Stadium. The first 40,000 fans in attendance received a commemorative microphone statue—a fitting piece of memorabilia considering Scully was the only voice of the Dodgers many knew throughout their lifetimes.
