Cubs Minor Leaguer D.J. Wilson Repeatedly Fails to Throw Beach Ball Back to Fans

Young baseball players must learn how to handle adversity. Even MLB's brightest stars can occasionally experience a 0-for-11 slump at the plate.

D. J. Wilson, an outfielder for the Single-A South Bend Cubs, experienced a different struggle when trying to throw a beach ball back into the stands against the uncooperative wind.

As The Benny Hill Show theme blared through the minor league stadium's speakers, the 20-year-old prospect couldn't toss the ball out of play. 

After multiple tries from the outfielder, a young fan finally corralled Wilson's lob. Don't blame Wilson but instead treat this as a PSA against playing with beach balls in the stands of baseball stadiums. Especially on a windy spring day.
