Seattle Mariners Unveil Ken Griffey Jr. Statue Outside Safeco Field

Seattle Mariners legend Ken Griffey Jr. was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame last July.
On Thursday, the Mariners honored the slugger with a statue placed outside Safeco Field.
Griffey's statue, located at the corner of Edgar Martinez Drive and Dave Niehaus Way, per the Mariners, was unveiled during a ceremony that occurred on an off day for his former team. Seattle hosts the Texas Rangers on Friday evening, and the club will give miniature replicas of the statue to fans who attend, per Sports Illustrated.
