AJ Styles to Raw and 5 Best Potential Trades in WWE Superstar Shake-Up
WWE's Superstar Shake-up this week could be the catalyst for the company to make some really exciting changes to the rosters of both Raw and SmackDown Live.
AJ Styles being traded to Raw is the one switch that is perhaps being discussed more than ever, given how Styles settled his differences with Shane McMahon last week, leading to speculation he could be leaving the blue brand.
But all across the board, there are trades to be made that could be career-defining for some of WWE's best talent.
Whether it's Styles to Raw, other big names going to SmackDown Live in return or much more, here's a look at the best switches WWE could make this week to give things an injection of excitement.
AJ Styles to Raw
1 of 5The Phenomenal One may have insisted to Shane McMahon on SmackDown Live last week that he's going nowhere, but he may not have a choice.
Him settling his differences with McMahon could be the start of a babyface turn and an even more dominating run on the blue brand, which is undoubtedly the house that Styles built.
He's been the man behind Tuesday nights being so unmissable more often than not, and losing him to Raw would be a massive blow.
The only crumb of comfort for WWE fans would be that if Styles did head off to Monday nights, he goes as potentially the most important man on the roster right now.
And who would have predicted that when he arrived at last year's Royal Rumble? Going to the supposed flagship show could simply be the next step in his domination of the WWE landscape.
But if he switches, SmackDown Live had better get someone good in return.
Sami Zayn to SmackDown Live
2 of 5If SmackDown Live really is the land of opportunity in WWE, then one of the first moves the company needs to make this week is switching one of the most loveable wrestlers on the entire roster to Tuesday nights.
Sami Zayn has sadly struggled to make a real impact on Raw since the draft midway through last year. He's been hindered by limited opportunities and a roster flooded with big names.
That has resulted in Zayn slowly fading into the midcard. WWE cannot allow that to happen for a guy of his talent.
Switch him to the blue brand with immediate effect, and watch him flourish.
He could go straight into Intercontinental Championship contention and become a real asset for Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan.
It makes the most sense of all the trades WWE could make this week.
Luke Harper to Raw
3 of 5If there was a list of WWE's most criminally underused talent right about now, Luke Harper would definitely be near the top.
Harper is arguably WWE's most agile and impressive in-ring big man, and it would be great to see the company find a way to do more with him.
Unfortunately, as long as he and Bray Wyatt remain on the same show, he may forever be in his former mentor's shadow.
So it's time for a change for Harper. If WWE is serious about having him break out as a solo star, then trade Harper to Raw and give him a serious push.
He could go straight into the upper end of the card on SmackDown, perhaps taking on someone like Samoa Joe.
Harper has been long overdue a push. Trading him this week could be the catalyst for something special.
Alexa Bliss to Raw/Charlotte Flair to SmackDown
4 of 5The women's division will not be immune to changes this week as part of the Superstar Shake-up, and two of the brightest female stars from both Raw and SmackDown Live could easily switch brands.
Alexa Bliss' emergence has been one of the real highlights of the brand split. She has flourished on Tuesday nights away from the heavyweights of Charlotte and Sasha Banks on Raw, but now may be the time for a change.
Bliss could move to Monday nights knowing full well she has established herself as one of the best female stars in the company.
And in return, SmackDown Live could get the outstanding Charlotte Flair in return. What a trade that would be.
With Naomi on top of the mountain at SmackDown Live, bringing in Flair would really shake things up.
Seth Rollins to SmackDown Live
5 of 5If AJ Styles really is going to be heading over to Raw, then SmackDown Live has to get someone pretty big in return.
Roman Reigns looks a lock for an extended program with Braun Strowman, so that rules him out of the equation. Samoa Joe could switch, but he still has unfinished business on Raw.
So what about Seth Rollins?
In reality, Rollins has very little to do right now after settling his differences with Triple H at WrestleMania 33.
Sure, he could feud with Joe, but a move to the blue brand, where he could easily become the biggest star on that show, would be great for him.
It would allow Seth to really spread his wings and become the biggest star on a show which, if it loses Styles, needs some real star power.
Make it happen, WWE.
