John Cena and Nikki Bella Won't Have Kids, Says WWE Women's Star
While John Cena has apparently budged on his marriage stance after proposing to Nikki Bella at WrestleMania 33, the bride-to-be says there has been no change of plans regarding the couple's plan to not have children.
"I've been getting that question a lot, let me tell you. No, there won't be [any children]," Bella told TMZ Sports. "John doesn't want kids, so we're not going to have kids."
Cena, 39, has been public in his desire to not have kids. He previously told Bella on an episode of Total Divas last year that he had no interest in marriage or kids. The WWE Superstar was previously married from 2009 to 2012 before going through a contentious divorce.
"I found the absolute right person," Cena told Today when asked what changed his mind. "I found a strong person [who] I consider an inspiration, an equal, somebody who when I'm feeling down picks me up... It took a person that strong to change my view on life."
Bella was previously married when she was 20, but that was later annulled.
Both seem content to spend the early part of their engagement off WWE television. Bella posted a tweet Tuesday saying she "need[s] time to heal" and will return when the "day is right." She seemed to indicate she would not return until her sister, Brie, who retired last year, returns to the ring.
Cena is off television to continue his burgeoning media career, which includes commitments in film and television.
