NXT Superstar in Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal
WWE broke the news Friday through its Instagram account that Tian Bing, WWE's first recruit from China, will compete in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
This is a big deal for Bing, as he has only appeared on NXT once—back in October in a losing effort during the first round of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
Unless WWE plans on promoting Bing to the main roster right away, there is little chance of him winning the Battle Royal, but it's still cool to see young wrestlers being given these kinds of opportunities.
Bing will compete with 29 other Superstars in Sunday's match. With any luck, he will become a regular in NXT following WrestleMania.
Jim Ross Returning to Call WrestleMania Match
Mike Johnson of PWInsider is reporting that Jim Ross has signed a new deal with WWE and will call Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 33.
Johnson noted Ross' new agreement is similar to a legends contract. Ross will do appearances for WWE while returning to call the occasional match.
Ross recently lost his wife, Jan, following a car accident, and he received a massive outpouring of support from colleagues and fans on social media.
It will be great to hear Ross' voice in the background again, especially during such a big contest. It will be interesting to see the person WWE pairs him up with at the commentary desk.
